Alabama’s own Gideon has officially entered a bold new era. The Tuscaloosa metalcore juggernauts announced last Friday that they’ve inked a deal with Sumerian Records, marking a fresh chapter in their already hard-hitting legacy. To celebrate, the band dropped their brand-new single, “Til the Wheels Fall Off” — a thunderous, no-compromise anthem that perfectly sets the tone for what’s next.
“Til the Wheels Fall Off” is pure Gideon: gritty, relentless, and unapologetically bold. The band’s signature blend of groove-heavy riffs and in-your-face vocals hits even harder this time around, fueled by the confidence of a group that knows exactly who they are. The single is available now on streaming platforms, with an official music video on the way.
The band shared a statement alongside the release, saying:
“We’ve always done things our way, and Sumerian Records believed in the vision. This song is a tribute to the miles behind us and the road ahead. We’re not here for a pit stop — we’re here to break the speedometer. With Sumerian in the passenger seat, we’re going ‘Til the Wheels Fall Off.’“
Known for their relentless touring ethic and an unshakable connection to their fanbase, Gideon isn’t wasting a second of this momentum. They launched into a jam-packed second half of the year with a show in Richmond, VA the same day they made the announcement. Just two days later, they lit up Warped Tour D.C. with a set that fans are already calling one of the weekend’s standouts and it doesn’t stop there.
Gideon kick off their co-headlining tour with Miss May I, Dreamwake, and Soulkeeper on June 17, in Syracuse, NY. From there, they’ll tear through North America with stops in Canada and all across the Midwest. In July and August, they’ll hit the road again with Unity TX, keeping the energy high through the summer. This fall, Gideon will appear at major festivals like Louder Than Life and New England Metal, and Hardcore Fest. Then they’ll be up wrapping the year on a massive tour alongside Kublai Khan TX, Drain, and Guilt Trip. You can find ticket information for the upcoming shows here.
With a powerhouse label behind them, a fiery new track in the wild, and a stacked touring calendar ahead, Gideon isn’t just back — they’re built for the long haul. Buckle up and blast the volume. This ride’s going full throttle.
