On January 14, 2026- VRSTY released “heartbreak blues” that has a blend of English and Spanish that can represent a conversation that could never meet in the middle. The single has a strong atmospheric sound that wraps around you with the feeling of regret, betrayal, and disbelief. There’s such an emotional whiplash between the two languages in the single because it causes an eruption of how much turmoil miscommunication can cause to an individual. The riffs in the single are harsh, but blends with the soft vocals that expresses reflection of knowing sometimes you need to let the person go
“‘heartbreak blues’ is probably one of the angriest yet most vulnerable songs I’ve written. It’s essentially about the feeling of being angry over someone you were prepared to give the world to, while still feeling incredibly connected to them. Sometimes, it’s harder to cut certain threads in life and I think this song perfectly hit that vibe for me. Clearly, I’ve been through that a lot. ” – Joey Tyler
Joey also explained; “This is the first song where I naturally was like, ‘What if this part was in Spanish?,’ and it totally works. It was nice to combine my love for heavy music and my love for my culture on this one.“
