Bring in the new year Miss May I, will power through a hardcore new single, “Die on the Vine”. Levi Benton, vocalist for the band brings his incredibly rich growling voice to a song that will stand out in the metalcore scene. The song captures a mid-life reckoning by coming to terms with how deeply childhood experiences and unresolved trauma shape who we have become, the band explains. “The song reflects the moment where denial stops and self-awareness sets in. If those patterns are something you must live with, the choice becomes whether to decay under their weight or grow stronger through them. “Die on the Vine” leans into that tension, framing survival as adaptation: sharpening your thorns over time instead of letting the damage define you.” Working on their 8th album to be released later this year, “Die on the Vine” is the second song released with “Pray for Silence” being introduced back in 2025 giving us a taste of what to come for this year.
The band formed in 2006 and has pretty much had the same members in the band but since 2024 the current lineup has been Benton on unclean vocals, Ryan Neff on bass, with Jarod Boyd as drummer and newest member Elisha Mullins as lead and rhythm guitar. Since signing with Solid State Records in 2024, the band did a release of their debut album, Apologize for the Weak and since then has been planning on releasing a new album in 2026.
Later this year they will be announcing a new tour for 2026, but they have confirmed that Miss May I will be appearing at both Inkcarceration Festival in Ohio and Rock Fest in Wisconsin this coming July. So big things are coming up this year, to keep up to date on their website and social media about tickets, tours, merch, and music releases.
