On February 25, 2026– Alternative artist VINNYONFIRE released his brand new EP Anhedonia that encapsulates how life is not linear and the EP truly showcases the emotions of vulnerability and how unpredictable life can be. The EP is perfect to listen to while you are with friends because it feels like a rollercoaster that brings thrill as well as excitement. Anhedonia is like a liminal space because the EP seems timeless, but towards the end of the EP the listener can either accept closure or keep on moving forward living a life that you know is meant to be better.
Interviewer: For new fans; can you give us some insight about who you are as an artist? And what your musical style is?
VINNYONFIRE: “I am an artist who likes to make music that is fun to scream your heart out to and blast loud with the windows down during a drive. My musical style I would say is alternative and sometimes heavier”
Interviewer: You just released your brand new EP Anhedonia; What was the emotional or thematic core you wanted this EP to capture?
VINNYONFIRE: “I wanted this EP to capture the emotional roller coaster I went through last year. It was a lot of ups and downs, many downs in the beginning and many, many ups at the end. It was really rough but I’m glad I got through it and have an amazing EP to show for it!”
Interviewer: Can you give us some detail about each single on this EP and what they mean to you?
VINNYONFIRE: “Breaking point – this song is one of my favorites because it sounds like BMTH and I love that band. This one felt like a weight off my chest making, very therapeutic
Grave – this one came from me watching a kid laroi live video and it inspired me to make a cool high energy/sad banger. Also I don’t sing very high in this so it’s much more relaxed vocally.
Do a flip – this one was the most fun to make on the EP, just got some Nashville homies in a room with an instrumental my brother made and we went crazy making some wild lyrics haha
Change the channel – another super fun on to make, someone I know locally kept trying to harass me so we made a song about how they’re obsessed with me to the point of pretending to be a cop and living in my bedroom walls
Anhedonia – this one was the most therapeutic to make because every artist at some point goes “is this really want I want to do anymore?” Because being an artist goes from being fun to trying to make it a job and then trying to make it fun again, so this song encapsulates that feeling of not knowing what you want to do in life when the thing you enjoyed most loses its spark.”
Interviewer: How does this project differ from your previous releases?
VINNYONFIRE: “This one was different because it had a lot more friends involved, and I think that is what made it more fun to create and release than in the past.”
Interviewer: Did you experiment with new instruments, tunings, or production styles?
VINNYONFIRE: “Definitely, especially in terms of styles because do a flip and Anhedonia are very different from what I would usually create.”
Interviewer: What do you hope listeners feel after hearing the EP?
VINNYONFIRE: “I hope people feel the same feelings I feel when I listen to the ep and that’s having emotions weighing you down be released after screaming the lyrics in my car hahaha”
Interviewer: If listeners take one thing from this EP, what should it be?
VINNYONFIRE: “Life has ups and downs but at the end of the day if you can push through the bullshit, you will always end up living a better life than you were before you wanted to give up. Just always keep moving forward and don’t be afraid to try new things.”
