April 30, 2026— Laufey’s first ever picture book “Mei Mei The Bunny” got on The New York Times’ Best Sellers list at #2 on the Children’s Picture Book chart. The book tells the story of violinist Mei Mei overcoming challenges and learning to believe. Laufey is an honoree for Billboard Women in Music and ASCAP Creative Voice Award as well. The artist also performed at both weekends at Coachella.

“As soon I got Laufey’s new book, everything from the front and the back pages is truly detailed. I can’t wait to read it as much as I want to. Either by myself, with friends, or family members. It truly brings out the character Mei Mei to light. The illustrator brought the story to life giving Laufey the opportunity to share her childhood story for many other to witness and hear.
