Immortika is a metalcore band from New Jersey that was formed when Robbie (Drummer) and Bill (Guitarist) decided that it was time to make a project together. The band’s name is a statement to all fans, other musicians, and the passion to create music. Immortika represents the unity music creates and even when death occurs daily there will always music. The band is filled with authenticity and the members wear their love for music on their sleeves and showcases that at shows they perform at. Interviewer: How did the band first come together?

Robbie Stixx: “Band was formed as a project band. I Robbie stixx the drummer and my guitarist bill played for years together and wanted to form something new.“

Interviewer: Where did the band name come from?

Robbie Stixx: “The name came from a thought of music being immortal and always being passed on.”

Interviewer: What themes naturally appear in your music?

Robbie Stixx: “Themes in our music is usually truthful glimpses of life, heartbreaks and successful journeys we all go through.”

Interviewer: How would you describe your sound to someone who’s never heard you before?

Robbie Stixx: “Our sound is unique and a brilliant mix of sounds and genre’s as well. Heavy songs to slow songs, sad songs to hardcore feelings of mixed emotions“

Interviewer: What bands or artists shaped your music the most?

Robbie Stixx: “We all listen to different styles of music from lamb of god to slipknot to Alice In Chains to old school classical rock bands.” 

Interviewer: What makes your band different from others in your scene?

Robbie Stixx: “Our band is very creative and we have our own sound because we don’t stick to one sound. We play our feelings in hope others can relate to what we write about from horror to breakups, let downs and also success and being a good hearted person.”

Interviewer: What kind of energy do you try to bring onstage?

Robbie Stixx: “Onstage our energy is electric, positive, full of emotions relatable and encouragement. Everyone always has a good time being themselves and enjoying live raw music.”

Interviewer: What keeps you motivated creatively?

Robbie Stixx: “We stay motivated because our music is a universal language and we create music relatable to anyone. We enjoy being creative and playing our songs live for people to enjoy our energy with us.”

Interviewer: What’s one thing you’ve learned from being in a band?

Robbie Stixx: “From being in a band I learned a lot about how much I could love something so much to never give up on it. And that’s the music we wrote.. music has made this band of brothers closer because we all relate to what we write about and we want the rest of the world to know we all feel the same.”

Interviewer: What’s next for the band?

Robbie Stixx: “Next we have a couple more show’s locally, than we are planning our first big tour. We wanna travel and share our music with the rest of the world as far as we can go.“

Interviewer: What do you want new listeners to remember after hearing your music?

Robbie Stixx: “Remember we wrote songs that could be relatable. We want people to remember we are just 5 guys chasing 1 dream… make music that could be played even after we are gone.”
