On May 21, 2026– Australian singer, Ruel released his new single “Debbie Don’t Cry” via Giant Music. The single has such restraint to it because instead of having a high energy pop sound, it has more of a slow burn to it. Layered production with intimate vocals that makes every lyric intentional and room for emotion to breathe, but still have that pulsating vibe to it

Ruel shares: “I’ve been dropping hints about the track for ages and now Debbie is finally here! Making this song started off as a kinda joke on a writing trip. Me and the other writers got back to the house pretty late at night (maybe a little buzzed) and started messing around. Skip to the next day and Debbie was finished. It became an instant favourite of that writing trip, plus I played the guitar solo at the end which felt really good as I think I’m a pretty average guitarist, so I surprised myself!”
