Alisan Porter releases a raw and reflective single “Race To Nowhere”

On May 22, 2026- Alisan Porter released her new single “Race To Nowhere” that’s reflective and teaches the listener that self-awareness is important. The single captures the emotional repetition of the same routine, but sometimes it feels like you’re not being productive. The vocal performance has a softness to it with vulnerability mixed in it. It’s an anthem to express that it’s okay to change your path and follow through with other decisions.

“‘Race To Nowhere’ came from a really honest moment where I realized how easy it is to get caught in cycles that feel productive but don’t actually lead anywhere. That constant push to do more, be more, give more — especially in motherhood — where you can lose yourself in the rhythm of taking care of everything and everyone. I started to see how that same pattern shows up everywhere: in relationships, in old habits, in the versions of ourselves we keep chasing because we think we’re supposed to. This song is me recognizing that loop and making a different choice. It’s about stepping off the ride, letting go of the need to keep running, and realizing you don’t have to win a race that leads nowhere.”

Best known for her iconic childhood starring role in Curly Sue and for winning Season 10 of The Voice, Porter has spent decades evolving as a performer. A Broadway veteran whose stage credits include A Chorus Line, Footloose, and Hair, she brings honesty, humor, and emotional depth into everything she creates.
