In Houston, Texas there is a band called, Dam13n that creates goth metal music inspired by classic horror cinema. Damien then decided it was time to start his own band because at times it can be difficult working with other musicians and ideas can become conflicting, so what did he do? He veered on his own path and created DAM13N.

DAM13N delivers dark and provocative energy that has haunting melodies with industrial instrumentation. The atmopsherric tone the band captures is unsettling that brings listener on journey of darkness. DAM13N is the band that lurks in the shadows that represents the darkness in humans

Interviewer: How did the band first come together?

DAM13N: “DAM13N was formed because i (Damien) was tired of having conflicting ideas and plans for bands so I started my own.“

Interviewer: Where did the band name come from?

DAM13N: “The band name came from a guitar I owned around 2010, it was a schecter damien platinum series.”

Interviewer: What themes naturally appear in your music?

DAM13N: “Death, sex , the effects of not only politics but the mindset that they bring in that in my opinion cripples what could be a unified world.”

Interviewer: How would you describe your sound to someone who’s never heard you before?

DAM13N: “Basically if Marilyn Manson and Pantera fucked and had a baby , we’d be that baby“

Interviewer: “What bands or artists shaped your music the most?

DAM13N: “Marilyn Manson, Dio,Iron Maiden, King 810, Alice in chains, Alice Cooper, believe it or not stick figure, Atreyu to name a few because that list is definitely a long one.”

Interviewer: What makes your band different from others in your scene?

DAM13N: “I think we’re worried less about award shows and tooting our own horn so to speak , some people that’s all they care about. We tend to look and strive to be beyond a local band and we don’t really care to be a part of any scene.”

Interviewer: What kind of energy do you try to bring onstage?

DAM13N: “Raw unfiltered high octane energy will blood, guitar solos and screaming.“

Interviewer: What keeps you motivated creatively?

DAM13N: “Mostly my hatred for the way the world is.“

Interviewer: What’s one thing you’ve learned from being in a band?

DAM13N: “I’ve learned that persistence truly does pay off.“

Interviewer: What’s next for the band?

DAM13N: “In 2027 we are planning an album and tour to support it.

DAM13N: “That we are coming for you next.“
