On July 5th, 2026 Jinjer performed at a sold out Ace Of Spades. Playing along them were guests Entheos and Crystal Lake. What better way to continue the holiday weekend than a sold out concert. This was also a treat as it was my first time taking photos at this venue, needless to say it was a great experience.
The first band of the night was Entheos. Formed in Santa Cruz, Ca and fronted by Chaney Crabb. Chaney has made waves for her one take playthroughs and how versatile she is with her brutal vocals, going from deep screams to high pitched goblin screams to singing. I have had the pleasure of seeing Entheos open up for Chelsea Grin and As I Lay Dying in this very venue in 2024. They brought the same energy but with a confidence that comes with years of touring and refining their craft. The last single they released was in 2025 titled “Empty On The Inside” they mentioned they would be coming out with a new album soon.
The second band of the night was Tokyo’s very own Crystal Lake. Crystal Lake is on tour promoting their latest album “The Weight Of Sound” released earlier this year. It was my first time hearing about this band and seeing them live. It was only a few days before the show but I discovered that Crystal Lake would be touring with guest vocalist the whole tour which made for interesting experiences I’m sure! The band has a fast pace sound of metal core with catchy choruses especially the song “The Weight Of Sound”. What won me over and made me an immediate fan was their stage presence towards the end the guitarist climbed on the bar and started soloing.
Last but not least is Jinjer the outfit from Ukraine. Iv’e been a fan of this band for a long time and unfortunately the one time I had a chance to see them at a festival the war happened and they ended up canceling, I was left with an itch after that. Wasn’t until this day I finally got to see them and let me tell you the crowd was pushing and getting rowdy with anticipation and for good reason. Fronted by Tatiana she is a lethal mix of singing and brutal vocals her choices of when to switch are very intentional difficult to do, backed by an amazing band masters in every aspect is no wonder they are praised.
