At the end of June, the recorded breaking rock band The Pretty Reckless released their fifth album and in record time they have announced by the second week in July the album “Dear God” has become the highest selling album since the debut album back in 2011. It is the #1 selling album in independent stores in the UK and top 20 on main charts in 8 countries. The Pretty Reckless proves that old school good old rock and roll is alive and well around the world.
“Dear God” is a raw and deeply rooted album bring the whole band to a new level, in the past year they have released singles from this album that until you hear them all together were small pieces of their lives as a whole, they show that this band in not just simple pieces put together but a team showing that there is strength in numbers and that we are all struggling in life, rich and the poor and that the successful and the failed can stand together and overcome. The record explores themes of loss, faith, resilience, love, and redemption through some of the band’s most personal songwriting to date.
July 10th was the first show for the Dear God Tour opening in Raleigh, NC crossing the nation stopping in 20 cities in North America before crossing the ocean to perform in 13 cities in the UK and EUR. Their show in Raleigh was a sold-out crowd and so far, each show since then has been just as exciting. They bring with them on tour Paris Jackson and Doug.
