Winter Jam 2027 Announces Nationwide Tour Featuring Crowder, Anne Wilson, Andy Mineo, and More

By Nicole | The Barricade Beat
There are concerts you attend, artists you remember, and performances that stay with you long after the lights come up. And then there is Winter Jam.
For me, Winter Jam has never been just another concert on the calendar. My story with this annual Christian music tradition began when I was just 12 years old, attending with my youth group. Back then, I was simply a young girl excited to spend an evening surrounded by friends, live music, and artists whose songs were becoming part of my faith journey.
I didn’t know then how much those experiences would mean to me years later. I certainly didn’t imagine that the little girl standing in the crowd would eventually grow up to pursue a career in music journalism and concert photography.
But here we are.
Over the years, Winter Jam has become one of those traditions that carries a special kind of nostalgia. It’s the anticipation of the lineup announcement, the conversations about which artists you hope to see, the excitement of arriving at the venue, and the unmistakable atmosphere of thousands of people gathering under one roof for something bigger than themselves.
And now, another season of that tradition is on the horizon.
Winter Jam 2027: A Lineup Bringing Something for Everyone
Announced October 28, 2026, Winter Jam is officially returning in 2027 with another nationwide tour featuring an impressive mix of established names, rising voices, and artists representing different corners of Christian music.
The 2027 lineup includes:
- Crowder
- Anne Wilson
- Andy Mineo
- Strings & Heart
- Terrian
- Red
- Newsong
Joining the tour as speaker will be Zane Black.
Fans can also arrive early for the Pre-Jam Party, featuring Natural State, CJ Emulous, and Mary-Clair.
From Crowder’s unmistakable energy and genre-blending sound to Anne Wilson’s powerful country-influenced approach to Christian music, the lineup offers a little something for different musical tastes.
Andy Mineo brings his distinctive hip-hop influence, while Strings & Heart, Terrian, and Red add even more diversity to the evening.
And, of course, Newsong remains at the heart of the event they helped establish more than three decades ago.
For longtime attendees, seeing Newsong continue to carry this tradition forward is a reminder of just how much history is behind Winter Jam.
The Tradition That Makes Winter Jam Different
One of the things that has always made Winter Jam stand out is its accessibility.
In an industry where concert tickets can quickly become expensive, Winter Jam continues its long-standing no-ticket-required approach. Admission for 2027 will be a $15 donation at the door.
Think about what that means.
Families, youth groups, college students, longtime Christian music fans, and people who might otherwise struggle to afford a major concert experience can come together and enjoy an evening of live music and ministry.
It’s not about having the most expensive seat in the building. It’s about being there.
Winter Jam also offers Jam Nation membership, which includes free early admission, exclusive merchandise, and opportunities to connect with artists through select Q&A experiences.
It’s a model that has helped make Winter Jam a recognizable staple in Christian music for generations.
From the Youth Group to the Other Side of the Barricade
There is something especially meaningful about watching an industry you once experienced as a fan become part of your professional world.
When I first started attending Winter Jam at 12, I wasn’t thinking about media credentials, photography equipment, artist interviews, or the logistics of producing a publication.
I was a kid going to a concert with my youth group.
Today, I find myself looking at live music through a different lens. Photography and music journalism have become passions that allow me to document the very experiences that once inspired me.
But one thing hasn’t changed: the reason I fell in love with Christian music in the first place.
There’s something powerful about music that reminds people they aren’t alone. Songs can meet us in seasons we don’t have the words to explain. They can bring encouragement when life feels heavy, remind us of God’s faithfulness, and create moments of worship in places we might never expect.
That’s what makes events like Winter Jam matter beyond the performances themselves.
You never really know who is walking through those arena doors, what they’re carrying, what they’re struggling with, or what they might need to hear that evening.
For someone, it might be a favorite artist performing a song they’ve known for years. For someone else, it might be hearing a message that changes the direction of their life.
And for a 12-year-old attending with her youth group, it might be the beginning of a lifelong love for Christian music.
I know because I was that girl.

Some Traditions Are Worth Growing Up With
As I look toward Winter Jam 2027, I can’t help but think about that 12-year-old girl who first experienced it with her youth group.
She had no idea where life would take her, how many concerts she would eventually attend, how much music would become part of her story, or that one day she’d be writing about the very industry that helped shape her.
That’s the beautiful thing about traditions like Winter Jam. They give us memories, but sometimes they also plant seeds for things we don’t recognize until years later.
Whether this will be your first Winter Jam or your twentieth, there is something special about being part of a gathering that continues to bring generations together through Christian music.
So, here’s to another year of arena lights, familiar songs, new discoveries, unforgettable performances, and thousands of people coming together with one shared hope.
I’ll always remember being the 12-year-old in the crowd. And I think a part of me will always be that girl.
Winter Jam 2027, I’ll see you there.
