Being a teen in the early 2010s the Jonas Brothers were everywhere, from Disney Channel to being on tour, Nick, Kevin, and Joe quickly became a household name. They have had many record breaking hit songs and singles over their twenty year long career and as a way to celebrate this, and a way to celebrate the new album “Greetings from your hometown” they embarked on a tour with opening acts such as All American Rejects, Boys Like Girls, and their brother Franklin Jonas. It felt like a true early 2000’s reunion when I was able to attend the Virginia Beach, Virginia stop. It was a wonderful mixture of old songs and hits, mixed in with new songs from the album and even some parts to let Nick Jonas shine solo as well as Joe Jonas’s band DNCE. Along with all of this, at almost every stop they have brought out surprise guests which leave fans speculating and eager to make guesses as the brothers leave hints on social media. This particular show the surprise guest was the band Hanson, but they have brought out Jesse McCartney, Demi Lovato, Sierra Ferrell, and The Plain White Tees just to name a few. This has quickly become a phenomenon and one of the most talked about parts of the tour. As well as this, they also brought out Big Rob to perform “Burning up” and their parents to perfom “when you look me in the eyes” to close out the show. On top of all of this, they also have provided a Jonascon pre show event for fans to enjoy at certain locations that include meet and greets with the openers, exclusive merchandise, the Jonas Brothers vann to sign, and other activities for fans to enjoy as well as a way to win meet and greet tickets to meet the brothers. As this was my first time seeing them perform, I was throughly impressed and overjoyed with how the performance went and I felt the love the brothers have for each other and their fans. Sometimes there is a special bond that happens when you are able to see an artist or band perform that you have had the chance to grow up with as they build their career and those bonds were felt throughout the show.
