A year after the conclusion of her record breaking eras tour, Taylor Swift released a fan favorite and long awaited six episode documentary series in early December on Disney+ as a way to bid a fond farewell to the phenomenon. It was long speculated that a documentary would be coming as there were many camera crews during the last few shows. The documentary covers topics of how the tour came to be, the audition process of the dancers, the production process, and even the costume choices and song choices while giving a big thank you to the fans for making it the tour it came to be. There were even special appearances by her friends and colleagues Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran, Florence Welch, and Gracie Abrams. Even her parents, brother, and Fiancé Travis Kelce, the documentary even touching on how their relationship came to be. Along with the series, she also released “The Final Show” which was the entire last show she performed in Vancouver on December 8th 2024, marking the end of the tour as well as a way for the fans who didn’t get to experience the tour in person (or who was to relive it) to see the new Tortured Poets Department set of the show. Taylor Swift has said time and time again how much the tour has meant to her and how proud of it she is and this documentary gives the fans a way to experience it with her and even see themselves in the show as there were a lot of points the fans were shown and even a couple interviews with fans. The first two episodes of the series and the final show were released on the same day, with the last four episodes being released later on in December.
