On February 5, 2026- The Amity Affliction released “House of Cards” that represents the toxicity of an authority figure that’s meant to help you succeed, but only brings emotional turmoil. This single is not only a confession, but an anthem for those who are still struggling with someone in their life that wants full control and will manipulate every situation that they can. The Amity Affliction has been creating music that explores the themes of loss, depression, addiction, and much more that fans can resonate to.
“House of Cards” is a metaphoric single that expresses that the main foundation of a “home” that’s meant to be loving and stable is actually unstable. And not healthy for those living in that situation. Between both soft and harsh vocals; it represents the chaos and emotional burnout of trauma.
The Amity Affliction will also be releasing their ninth album House of Cards on April 24 via Pure Noise. Pre-order here!

“Our mother died in 2024 and none of us had a healthy relationship with her. She was very self-involved, aggressive, abusive in our early years, and in her later years, spent a good amount of time trying to put a wedge between the three of us. Thankfully, once she passed, the three of us actually became closer as we realized we had individual, but shared trauma related to her.” – Birch

The Amity Affliction will also be embarking on the Hellbound Heavy Metal Cruise in 2027 alongside Parkway Drive, Alpha Wolf, I Killed A Prom Queen, and Thy Art Is Murder!
