British guitarist Anna Cara joins the Alice Cooper tour as Nita Strauss takes a break to welcome her first child this summer. Anna Cara is a 22-year-old guitarist from Newcastle, England. She wasn’t even born when Alice Cooper first took the stage. Cara was previously guitarist for Marc Storace with Swedish band Krokus and she worked with Tommy Henriksen from Alice Cooper and Hollywood Vampires.
Cara joined Alice Cooper in Las Vegas at his special Welcome To Our Nightmare show, which was a unique show with Illusionist Criss Angel, which took place at Planet Hollywood. Cooper will come back to Las Vegas with the Welcome To Our Nightmare shows for three days in May with Criss Angel. Cara will go on tour with Alice Cooper for this Alice Attic US and European Tour and will be a perfect fit to replace Strauss.
When Cooper was asked about his thoughts on Cara joined the band he says, “Nita found a brilliant British female guitarist to fill in for her while she is on maternity leave. Anna Cara is a beautiful dynamic shredder in the vein of Nita but with a style of her own. She will fit in with our gang perfectly while Nita is away and we can’t wait for the sick things to meet her. Welcome to the show, Anna!
When asking Cara about her joining the Alice Cooper tour she answered, “This is like a dream come true, to join Alice and his great band. Back when I started playing guitar at 14, I was watching Alice Cooper live shows on YouTube dreaming of joining one day! Nita Strauss is a tough act to follow, and she’s been so encouraging to me this past month, so I am looking forward to showing everyone who I am and what I can do.”
