On June 14, 2026- Taking Back Sunday performed at the Spartanburg Auditorium in Spartanburg, SC with special guest: Bayside. Another sold out night on this tour! The crowd was full of all different age groups. With everyone in the mood for a concert. People were dancing to the venues music before the show even started. This venue is local to me, however I have never been to this place before. It’s a beautiful well kept venue. With amazingly helpful staff. With pit and seating located on the side. Merch, food and drinks in the back. If you’re doubting this venue because it’s in Spartanburg, don’t

Bayside is an American punk band from Queens, New York. In the past 25 years that they have been playing music, they have a total of 9 albums. I remember Bayside and Taking Back Sunday from when I was a teenager, so this is such an amazing moment. The playlist had all of the cult favorites. Stage presence was phenomenal and the lighting on stage is definitely one of my new favorites. The crowd singalongs rivaled the volume of the band. Clapping, swaying and jumping to the music was almost a constant. After tonight’s show, I completely understand the saying “Bayside is a Cult” whether it was children or a long term fan. Everyone was one big cult tonight!

It was time for Taking Back Sunday and from the moment they took the stage, the intense nostalgia hit. The band formed in 1999, but as an early 2000’s emo fan; I have been waiting my whole life to see this show. The whole concert seemed like one big sing along. With couples dancing together and everyone swaying. The way that Adam works the stage seemed to have everyone connecting so deeply. I have heard about his famous microphone swinging theatrics and such a power dynamic with the crowd. So many smiling faces and bobbing heads. “Liar (It Takes One to Know One)” was performed and you instantly saw attendees that were my age go absolutely feral. All you can see is attendees burst out into a certain type of energy that will make your whole body ache for a week. Overall; the performance was something memorable and being able to experience a band that I’ve been listening to for years healed something inside of me
