Taking Back Sunday is getting ready to release a 20th anniversary Louder Now deluxe edition. Their 2006 release of Louder Now was such a breakthrough album for them; they felt it needed a dusting off enhanced new feel to the masterpiece. So, October 16 via Craft Recordings, the new deluxe with the same tracks and a few extra bonus tracks included. It is currently available for preorder now so that you can be first in line to receive a copy of the vinyl.
Frontman Adam Lazzara comments about the new album, “Our record Louder Now represents a huge milestone for me and to know it has made an impact on so many other people’s lives as well is something I still struggle to get my head around. To have the opportunity to celebrate that record with both John Nolan and Fred Mascherino on stage together, along with Shaun Cooper, is incredible to me. The songs sound stronger than I can ever remember live and I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to share that with everyone.”
In 2006 the first major label album they released was Louder Now in just a few weeks of its release had made it to #2 on the Billboard 200, it became the highest charting album for the band and within two months had received a gold certification. At its center was “MakeDamnSure,” the explosive lead single that dominated alternative radio and MTV, introducing Taking Back Sunday to a worldwide audience while becoming a permanent fixture of the band’s live shows. Alongside enduring fan favorites like “What’s It Feel Like to Be a Ghost?” and “Liar (It Takes One to Know One),” it helped establish Louder Now as one of the defining alternative rock albums of the 2000s.
Taking Back Sunday is currently on tour traveling across the US and the tour ends in Florida in November.
