Hundreds of fans lined up outside Bojangles Coliseum, excited to experience Ken Carson’s live “Xperimenting Tour” performance. Supported by DJ Moon, Prettifun, and Xaviersobased, the tour has been delivering nonstop high energy as Carson takes the stage following the success of his highly anticipated album, “xperiment,” and his latest EP, “cartunez.” The setlist featured plenty of fan favorites, including “gynecologist,” “wrist,” “possession,” “shadeson,” and many more.
The lights dimmed, and cheers immediately erupted throughout the venue as the intro to “deaf note” began to play. The track, featured on “xperiment,” delivers a raw, distorted rage-rap sound that perfectly illustrates Ken Carson’s identity as an artist. The song also features fellow Opium member Playboi Carti. Following the explosive opening, Carson transitioned into another popular intro track, “Lord of Chaos,” which doubles down on distorted 808s and heavy trap production. The song truly showcases Carson’s mosh-pit aesthetic and explosive lyrical delivery.
On the general-admission floor, fans quickly dispersed into massive pits, forming circles, blowing whistles, and raising rage-related flags, while those seated above watched the chaos unfold in amazement.
Carson continued with tracks from his 2025 chart-topping album, More Chaos. “Blakk Rokkstar” proved to be one of the most thrilling performances of the night. The song’s blown-out, aggressive bass paired perfectly with the fog machines, which seemed to sync with every drop and elevated the crowd’s energy to another level. Everywhere you looked, fans were jumping, head-banging, and rapping along with Carson.
The mosh pits remained alive from the very first song to the very last. Whenever Carson yelled, “OPEN IT UP,” fans immediately answered the call, creating even larger spaces to rage. He continued the momentum with “It’s Over,” a fast-paced rage-rap track featuring a relentless lyrical flow from verse to chorus. The stage setup was simplistic but stayed true to Carson’s chaotic image. Slightly elevated on a platform, he was constantly surrounded by fog, stage flames, and explosive lighting effects that intensified with every major drop. His presence onstage was unmistakably that of a rock star.
Keeping the momentum going, Carson delivered a beautiful intro before dropping into the fan-favorite “gynecologist,” another track from his latest release. The setlist continued to feature hard-hitting bangers, including “i need u,” “yes,” “Me N My Kup,” and many others.
As the night came to a close, Carson performed several tracks that fans had been eagerly waiting to hear. Cheers echoed throughout the venue as the opening notes of “Rock N Roll” began to play. The track stands out as one of the songs that helped put Carson on the map, appearing on his 2021 album, “Project X“. Its futuristic and atmospheric production provided a moment for fans to simply vibe before the show reached its final peak. Carson closed out the night with one of the most defining songs in his catalog, “Fighting My Demons.” The aggressive, rage-driven production had the audience screaming at the top of their lungs while mimicking Carson’s infamous “what the f*ck” stage adlibs.
