Jinjer performs at The Fillmore in Charlotte, North Carolina!

On June 17, 2026- Jinjer performed at The Fillmore in Charlotte, NC with special guests; Entheos and Crystal Lake. The night was very interesting because the attendees were all friendly and filled with excitement, but every time I walked passed someone; they would greet me like they knew me with a warm welcome. That’s what shows are about. Friends or strangers. You treat everyone with respect

Opening the night was Entheos and I’ve seen this band a couple of times in the last two years and sadly; I honestly felt like I couldn’t hear Chaney’s vocals at all. She is a powerhouse of a vocalist, so that made me disappointed because we love to see a woman on stage in this industry that’s filled with raw emotion and rage. Even though I could barely hear her vocals; the stage presence made up for that aspect. The crowd became unruly animalistic as their set progressed. It was sometimes impossible to get through the crowd because someone was either head banging, moshing in their own space, or the larger mosh pit grew in diameter. Chaney also announced that the band will be releasing this album this year and that they worked really hard on it.

Next up was Crystal Lake and I’ve seen this band countless times in the last two years. First time at Christmas Burns Red and the last time was when they performed a small headline show in Columbia, South Carolina. I am so use to seeing John on stage that it was weird to see another vocalist which was Myke Terry, but he went on that stage full of confidence and brought energy that swept over the whole crowd. Each musician in that band has such charisma that it feeds right into their instrumentation and lures over the crowd like a blanket of chaos. Their set felt so visceral and cathartic that it enhanced everyone’s adrenaline. “Hail to The Fire” and “Aeon” were my favorite songs that they performed that night

It was time for Jinjer and I had no idea what to expect due to never listening to this band before, but my friend and another photographer told me Tatiana Shmayluk, is an insane vocalist. As I was waiting for the band to step onto the stage; a few attendees spoke to me and told me that Tati is one the best vocalist’s in the industry right now and that they bought tickets the second the tour was announced. When their set started; the crowd went absolutely ballistic with excitement. Tati walked onto the stage in an outfit that left me speechless because I’ve always stated that musicians should dress to impress and that’s what she did. As a first time listener; I was blown away by their performance. The chemistry between all the musicians is impeccable because you can truly sense the dedication they have to put on the best performance for all the attendees. Their set felt like an immersive experience that I haven’t felt at a show in such a long time.
